Mount Wilson Observatory

A mountain observatory that screens classic science fiction, silent films and family titles in a 256-seat auditorium above Los Angeles.

Mount Wilson's Matinees on the Mountain run on select Saturday afternoons alongside telescope visits, lectures and the observatory's scientific history.

The trip up matters as much as the movie: this is destination cinema attached to a working historic observatory.
