Before
Stahl HousePierre Koenig's 1960 glass box cantilevered off a ridge above the Sunset Strip, and the subject of the Julius Shulman photograph of two women sitting in a lit corner over the whole grid at night. The Stahl family still owns it and still runs the visits themselves, which is why the rules are so particular.

Tower BarThe ground-floor apartment Bugsy Siegel lived in, inside the 1929 Art Deco Sunset Tower. It runs as a restaurant and bar with a dress code enforced at the door and a standing rule against phones and photographs. Sunday dinner is for hotel guests only.
