Wattles Garden ParkSeven acres of city park below the Hollywood Hills on the grounds of a 1907 estate, with a Japanese garden, a community garden and a trail that climbs into Runyon Canyon from the back. It is free and almost nobody is in it on a weekday.

Tower BarThe ground-floor apartment Bugsy Siegel lived in, inside the 1929 Art Deco Sunset Tower. It runs as a restaurant and bar with a dress code enforced at the door and a standing rule against phones and photographs. Sunday dinner is for hotel guests only.
