Calabasas Coffee HouseA small independent café behind Old Town on Park Sorrento, near the civic buildings rather than on the main strip. Coffee, pastries and a few breakfast plates, with tables inside and a handful out front. It opens at 7am and shuts at 3pm. Quieter than anything on Calabasas Road and the people in it are locals working.

Yume Sushi BarA sushi bar on the Old Town strip with a long sake list and kushiyaki off the grill as well as the usual rolls and sashimi. It splits the day, noon to 2:30pm and then from 5pm, running to 10:30pm on weeknights and 11pm on Friday and Saturday. You can sit at the bar without booking. Valet and street parking.
