Before

The Original Farmers Market

short ride recommended · 7 min - Fairfax

An open-air market at Third and Fairfax since 1934, built out of the stalls farmers set up on a vacant dairy field and never taken down. You eat standing or at a shared table under the green awnings, from whichever counter you want, and Bob's Coffee and Doughnuts opens at 8am for the people who arrive before anything else does. Parking on site is free for the first hour.

After

Tower Bar

0.1 mi · 3 min walk - Sunset Strip

The ground-floor apartment Bugsy Siegel lived in, inside the 1929 Art Deco Sunset Tower. It runs as a restaurant and bar with a dress code enforced at the door and a standing rule against phones and photographs. Sunday dinner is for hotel guests only.
