Rustic SpoonA Thai kitchen on Magnolia in Valley Village that takes the cooking seriously and the presentation lightly. It splits the day, lunch until 3:30pm and dinner from 5pm, which is worth knowing before you walk over. The Infatuation has called it one of the most overlooked Thai places in the Valley. There is a small bar and wine by the glass.

NoBarA dive on the east end of Magnolia with pool, craft beer on tap and cocktails that are better than the lighting suggests. It opens at 5pm and runs to 2am every night of the week, which in this part of the Valley is unusual. Regulars sit at the bar, and nobody is here for the décor.
