The Read
Shot in downtown New York for almost nothing, with a synthesizer score the director made himself. Anne Carlisle plays both leads. It is a document of a scene as much as a film.
The Venue
The Frida Cinema
305 E 4th St
Orange County's nonprofit art house, on Fourth Street in downtown Santa Ana, where a 1963 movie musical and a new Korean monster picture can share the same week.
