Palisades Garden CafeA cafe on La Cruz just off Sunset, a few steps behind the village center, with a patio and a pastry case. It was one of the buildings that came through the January 2025 fire still standing and it kept serving the neighborhood through the worst of the recovery. Coffee, eggs and sandwiches until five, then it shuts.

Saffron & Rose Persian Ice CreamA small shop on Westwood Boulevard that has been making Persian-style bastani since the 1980s. The saffron and pistachio is the one to get, pressed between two wafers if you ask for it that way. Cucumber and date sit on the same board, which tells you the register.
