Before
Brewery DraconumA brewery on Main run by a brother and sister, with twenty taps and a beer garden out back. The kitchen cooks with the house beer rather than around it, so the menu reads as a gastropub list with the brewery folded into it. It opens at noon, which is unusual on this street and makes it one of the few places that can take a 1pm screening. Closed Tuesday and Wednesday, which matters more than anything else here.

After
Maginn's Irish PubAn Irish pub in the same building as the cinema, built with the Irish Pub Company of Dublin, whose fittings were made in Ireland, shipped over and assembled here. The bar is a hand-built Victorian piece in a Belfast idiom and the place is named for the Maginn and Connelly families. Pints, whiskey, a short food menu, and a crowd that skews local rather than passing through. It is the easiest conversation in Old Town because you do not have to go outside to get to it.
