The bar is a hand-built Victorian piece in a Belfast idiom and the place is named for the Maginn and Connelly families. Pints, whiskey, a short food menu, and a crowd that skews local rather than passing through. It is the easiest conversation in Old Town because you do not have to go outside to get to it.

The food is panini-style sandwiches built on naan, which is an odd thing to find in a bar and is the thing people order. It keeps the latest hours in Old Town Newhall, which in a valley where most of the strip is dark by ten makes it the only real answer to a film that ends at 10:30pm.
