The Black CatThe site of a February 1967 demonstration against a police raid on a gay bar, more than two years before Stonewall. It is Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument 939 and became California Historical Landmark 1063 in 2022, the first state landmark recognizing California's LGBTQ history. It trades today as a neighborhood bar and restaurant at Sunset Junction.
