Viva Ingrid! with Journey to Italy presented by Isabella Rossellini

Thursday, November 5, 2026 · 7:30 PM · Academy Museum, Central L.A.

The Read

Rossellini shot it largely without a finished script and Bergman reportedly had no idea what the film was. It invented a kind of modern cinema almost by accident. Isabella presenting her father's film about her mother's marriage is its own thing.

Shape The Night

Before

Petersen Automotive Museum

0.1 mi · 2 min walk - Fairfax

Four floors of cars on Wilshire at Fairfax, behind the red ribbon facade. Under the building is the Vault, a few hundred rare vehicles including prototypes and concepts that never went into production. It is ticketed separately from general admission and cameras are not allowed down there.

After

Tom Bergin's

0.3 mi · 6 min walk - Mid-Wilshire

A horseshoe bar under a ceiling papered in paper shamrocks, each one carrying a regular's name, some of them decades old. Tom Bergin opened the business in 1936 and it ran near-continuously at this Fairfax address until 2018, then reopened under new owners in December 2019 with the interior and the shamrocks intact. It is a landmarked building and the bar runs to 1am every night.
