Tam O'ShanterOpen on Los Feliz Boulevard since 1922 and run by the same family the entire time, which makes it one of the oldest restaurants in the city on its original site. Lawrence Frank and Walter Van de Kamp built it before they started Lawry's. Prime rib and Yorkshire pudding, and a bar that does a 2pm happy hour.

The RoostThis dark Los Feliz Boulevard bar pours strong and puts out free popcorn. The jukebox is digital. Cash only, and the on-site ATM charges for the privilege. A Thai kitchen operates out of the back.
