Alex's Bar

Bar · 2913 E Anaheim St

Official siteDirections

Punk bands, garage rock and dance-floor DJs share Alex's Bar, a Long Beach stop whose calendar also makes space for karaoke and trivia.

The Anaheim Street venue has operated since 2000. Its Zaferia location draws local acts and touring musicians, with bills that can range from the Dead Boys to cumbia groups.

The Good Foot brings soul and funk into the program, while other recurring events focus on post-punk and synthpop. Weekend opening hours begin in the afternoon, before many of the ticketed shows.
