Avalon Hollywood
Nightclub · 1735 Vine St
Avalon puts electronic dance music inside a Hollywood theater whose stage has also served Broadway performers, television shows and rock bands.
The building opened as the Hollywood Playhouse in 1927. Later incarnations included a radio venue, a television studio and the Palace concert club, before the Avalon name arrived.
Today's bookings span house, techno, trance, bass and hardstyle, with Insomniac presenting shows. Bardot occupies the level above, with a lounge and open-air courtyard of its own.
