Long Beach, in Harbor
Bear City Comedy Show
Comedy Club · 1923 E 7th St
A free Wednesday stand-up showcase at Que Sera, a dive bar on Long Beach's 7th Street, with doors at seven and no drink minimum.
Bear City books indie comics alongside guests it does not announce, which is how a free bar show ends up with credits from Netflix, HBO and SNL on it. The bar is 21 and over and takes cash only.
Que Sera programs music and other events the rest of the week, so the comedy happens in a working bar rather than a purpose-built club. The stage is the same one the bands use, and the crowd is partly whoever was already there.
