Official site Directions

City Garage stages American and European plays at Bergamot, with contemporary politics and physically inventive performance running through its choices.

Frédérique Michel and Charles A. Duncombe founded the company in 1987. It performed in Ocean Park and on the Santa Monica Pier before occupying a former police parking garage behind the Third Street Promenade.

That building supplied the name. The company moved to Bergamot in 2010, where its small theater sits among the arts complex's galleries, across from the rail station.
