Highland Park, in Northeast L.A.
Lodge Room
Ballroom · 104 N Avenue 56
A former Masonic meeting hall gives Highland Park concerts cherry-wood paneling and preserved architectural details above the street.
Completed in 1923, the building served Lodge 382 of the Free and Accepted Masons for sixty years. Shops originally occupied the ground floor, with meeting and banquet space upstairs.
The concert venue retains embossed wall coverings from that earlier use. Its bookings range from folk performers to contemporary jazz and rock, bringing different audiences into the same historic setting.
