DTLA: Broadway, in Central L.A.
Los Angeles Theatre
Cinema · 615 S Broadway
An ornate 1931 Broadway movie palace that opens only selectively for screenings, tours and special events.
The Los Angeles Theatre was built at the end of the downtown movie-palace boom and retains elaborate lobbies, lounges and a large auditorium.
Public film access is intermittent, so any screening here is as much an architectural event as a normal trip to the movies.
