Highland Park, in Northeast L.A.
Oblivion
DIY Space · 6118 North Figueroa Street
Oblivion folds live bands into a Highland Park surf and vintage shop, with a small-scale setting on North Figueroa.
Clothing, surfboards and the store's own designs fill out its retail side. A hanging silver fish sculpture and skylights are among the details described by the people behind the shop.
The music calendar includes multi-band bills and all-ages shows from local promoters. Check the event listing, since retail visits and concerts run on separate schedules.
