Mid-City, in Central L.A.
The Mint
Music Club · 6010 W Pico Blvd
The Mint fits live bands and dinner into a small Pico Boulevard club whose acoustics were engineered as a recording studio.
Established in 1937, the Mid-City venue has hosted Stevie Wonder, Willie Dixon, Ray Charles and Herbie Hancock. Its history spans blues, soul and jazz without confining today's bookings to those styles.
About 200 people fit inside. Touring groups and local players share a calendar that also includes jazz sessions, with food and a full bar keeping the visit centered in one place.
