DTLA: Fashion District, in Central L.A.
The Upstairs Comedy Club Los Angeles
Comedy Club · 1415 S Los Angeles St Ste C
A downtown comedy club running one show most days, named for whoever is headlining it, with Spanish-language bills in the mix.
The billing convention is simple: the act's name is the show's name, so Mark Hayes and Friends or Kev Adams is both the title and the lineup. A visiting comic will sometimes take two slots in an evening.
Part of the calendar is Spanish-language and sold through an outside promoter rather than by the club, which widens who the audience is. The address is in the Fashion District, south of the main downtown blocks, and the venue is upstairs as the name says.
