DTLA: Broadway, in Central L.A.
United Theater on Broadway
Cinema · 929 S Broadway
A Spanish Gothic Broadway theater, formerly tied to the Ace Hotel, now operating as a major concert and special-event venue with occasional film bookings.
The building opened in 1927 as the flagship theater of United Artists.
Movies are no longer the nightly business, but screenings still make sense in a house built for cinema and preserved at theater scale.
