University Park, in South L.A.
USC School of Cinematic Arts
Cinema · 900 W 34th St
USC's film school on the University Park campus, where the degree programs run from animation to a joint course with the business school, and its theaters are where that work gets shown.
The school teaches across several tracks at once. Expanded Animation Research and Practice builds an MFA around animation made from a director's point of view, while Media Arts and Practice treats its students as both makers and scholars of digital media.
There is also a joint program with the Marshall School of Business, open to entering Marshall freshmen, for people who want the production side and the deal side. Summer sessions run in two six-week blocks and are taught by working industry professionals.
