WE Improv
Comedy Club · 6075 Franklin Ave Unit 70
An improv school and theater in Hollywood that caps classes at nine students and gives its resident teams standing slots on the weekly shows.
The structure is built around repetition: small classes, frequent exercises and a weekly performance, so students end up on stage often rather than once a term. Core classes use a tiered pricing scheme funded by the community, which lets students pay at the level they can.
Above the classes sit memberships and a residency program, where teams take regular slots on the weekly bills instead of applying show by show. The venue is a unit on Franklin Avenue, which keeps it off the main comedy strips.
