The Luckman brings international music and dance to Cal State LA, with gallery exhibitions adding another reason to visit the campus.
The complex opened in November 1994 with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, conducted by Esa-Pekka Salonen. Harriet and Charles Luckman helped fund the project that now carries their names.
Its 1,152-seat theater has presented performers including Julieta Venegas, Esperanza Spalding and Chaka Khan. Artist interviews and performances also continue online through the Luckman Sessions series.
