Ange Noir CafeA small French-leaning cafe on Varet Street that pours wine and beer alongside the coffee. Breakfast runs all day and the food is eggs and sandwiches rather than a pastry case. The block is residential and quiet compared with Bogart Street two over.

Happyfun HideawayA loosely tropical dive on Myrtle with cheap drinks and a yard out the back. It is queer-run and has been the reliable late option on this end of Myrtle for years, which matters because the Myrtle-Broadway venues do not have many.
