The Bushwick CollectiveFifty-odd murals wrap the warehouse walls, roll-down gates and loading docks on Troutman Street either side of St Nicholas Avenue. It started in 2012 when one resident offered his wall and then talked his neighbors into offering theirs. Most pieces get painted over inside a year, so the block you walked last spring is not the block you walk now.

The Johnson'sA dark bar on Troutman with a dollar pool table in the back and swing seats by the front window. Cheap beer, a jukebox and a patio. It has been the Troutman Street dive of record since it opened in 2013.
