The Elevated AcreAn acre of lawn and planting sitting a level above Water Street, reached by an escalator tucked beside the entrance to an office tower. Almost nobody finds it who has not been told it is there. The east end looks out at the harbor and the Brooklyn Bridge, and it is legally required to stay open to the public.

Jeremy's Ale HouseBeer comes in styrofoam cups the size of a pitcher and the ceiling is covered in neckties and bras left by customers. It started under the Brooklyn Bridge ramp and moved a block to 228 Front Street, keeping the fryer and the prices. Fried clams and a cup of Bud is most of the menu.
