Miller FieldA hundred and eighty-seven acres of flat former airfield at the foot of New Dorp Lane, now ball fields, a bocce court, picnic tables and a stand of swamp white oak that birders walk. Two enormous 1920s seaplane hangars still stand at the edge of it. A short beach runs along the bay side, though the Park Service does not recommend going in.
