Di Fara PizzaDomenico DeMarco opened this on the corner of Avenue J and East 15th in 1965 and made the pies himself, one at a time, for more than fifty years. He died in 2022 and it has kept going. San Marzano tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, basil cut over the top as the pie comes out of an 800-degree oven. Fifteen seats, so most people eat standing or take it away.

Peppa's Jerk ChickenJerk chicken off the drum with rice and peas and festival, ordered at a counter on Flatbush Avenue near Parkside and handed over in foil. The smoke is the first thing you notice from the sidewalk. It sits between Kings Theatre and Bar Bayeux, which makes it the one kitchen that covers both anchors on foot.
