The Read
The Final Cut is the only version Scott controlled completely, and it removes the voiceover and the studio-imposed ending. Jordan Cronenweth lit it with beams you can see, which needs a real screen. Rutger Hauer wrote his own last lines.

Shape The Night
Before
Le DiveA French tabac styled bar on the corner of Canal and Orchard, with most of the crowd standing on the sidewalk. Natural wine by the glass and a short menu built around pâté and tinned fish. It opened in the 2020s and has not tried to become anything larger since.

After
ClandestinoA bar on the block where the Lower East Side runs into Chinatown, open until four in the morning seven days a week. Laure Travers runs it and the music leans away from whatever is on down the street. There is pâté and a few snacks if you want something with the drink.
