Shape The Night
Before
Prospect Park's Long Meadow, through Endale ArchCome in at the Grand Army Plaza entrance and the path drops you under Endale Arch, which Olmsted and Vaux built to cut off the city before it opens onto the mile-long Long Meadow. The arch was stripped back to its original banded woodwork and sandstone in a restoration finished in 2020. Past it the meadow is flat, open and full of people lying on the grass, and it runs most of the length of the park.

After
Fourth Avenue PubTwenty-seven taps and a long bottle list on Fourth Avenue a few doors from Bergen Street, with a walled back yard of picnic tables that is open in the warm months. Bowls of popcorn sit on the bar. There is no kitchen, and it runs to 4am most nights. It is the closest late bar to Roulette by a wide margin.
