Shape The Night
Before
Irving Square ParkA full square block of park that Kings County bought in 1895 and laid out with curving paths the following year. The brick shelter in the middle went up in 1905 and is still there. This is the only real green space at the southern end of Bushwick, where the venues thin out.

After
Gottscheer HallBuilt in 1924 by immigrants from Gottschee, a German-speaking pocket of what is now Slovenia, and still run as a bar with a hall behind it. Imported and domestic beer at the bar. There are spirits too, with a short menu of German pub food. The front bar is the part you want.
