Skippy'sA hot dog truck that has stood on this stretch of Hylan Boulevard since 1962, now parked beside Last Chance Pond. Sabrett franks out of the water, topped with a bright red chili made on the truck, about three dollars. Dawn runs it, the chili runs out, and there is nowhere to sit.

Royal Crown BakeryAn Italian bakery on Hylan Boulevard with the ovens going from six in the morning and a kitchen attached that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The bread is the reason to come, semolina and lard bread and the rest, and the heroes are built on it. The bakery counter stays open to ten at night.
