Shape The Night

Before

American Folk Art Museum

0.1 mi · 2 min walk - Lincoln Square

A single floor of self-taught American art on Columbus Avenue, free every day it opens. The collection runs to quilts and weathervanes. Portraits by painters who never trained hang near the drawings of Henry Darger. You can walk the whole thing in forty minutes.

7:30 PM · Mirga Grazinyte-Tyla and Yuja Wang

After

Gray's Papaya

Long walk · 0.5 mi · 11 min walk; 2 min ride - Upper West Side

A standing counter on the corner of 72nd and Broadway selling a recession special of two dogs and a drink. Nicholas Gray opened it in 1973 after leaving Papaya King, and this is the last of the shops he ran. You eat at the window shelf looking out at the street.
