Juliana's PizzaPatsy Grimaldi came out of retirement in 2012 and opened Juliana's in the Old Fulton Street space where he had run Grimaldi's for decades, naming it after his mother. Coal oven, whole pies only, no slices and no reservations. The kitchen shuts between 3:15 and 4 in the afternoon, and the line outside moves because the oven turns a pie in minutes.

Brooklyn Bridge Park, Dumbo endThe northern end of the park, between the two bridges, where the old Fulton Ferry landing and Pebble Beach sit on the water. Pebble Beach is a short shingle strand you can walk down onto, with the Manhattan skyline framed by the bridge cables, and Jane's Carousel is in its glass pavilion a minute away. The park is free and open from 6am to 1am, and the carousel charges two dollars a ride on a seasonal schedule.
