WNYC Transmitter ParkThe site where WNYC's radio transmitter towers stood until the 1990s, opened as a park in 2012 at the foot of Greenpoint Avenue. A pier runs out into the East River at the end of Kent Street and people fish off it. The Manhattan skyline is straight ahead and the Empire State Building lines up with the pier.

Sunshine LaundromatA working laundromat on Manhattan Avenue with a bar and sixteen pinball machines behind a door built into a dryer. The machines run from Medieval Madness to current tables and take quarters. Beer is sold on the far side and the wash cycle keeps running on the near side.
