Peck'sTheo Peck's counter on Myrtle Avenue, open from 7am, pouring La Colombe and selling prepared food by the pound. Rotisserie chicken and brisket by the pound, with matzo ball soup made in house. He has been on this block about ten years and most of the trade is people who live within a few streets.

Putnam's Pub & CookerA corner pub on Myrtle at the Clinton Hill end, with a full kitchen, a long bar and windows onto the avenue. It opens at 11am seven days and runs to 2am Monday through Saturday, with happy hour from four to seven. For anyone walking out of the Navy Yard it is the first real bar you reach.
