Locanda Vini e OliiCatherine and Francois Louy took a Clinton Hill pharmacy that had traded since 1894 and turned it into a Tuscan restaurant in January 2001, keeping the original wood fittings and the apothecary drawers. The kitchen makes its own pasta. This is a sit-down dinner rather than something you grab.

Tip-Top Bar & GrillWalter Alston opened this as a pool hall in the early 1950s and his daughter Linda Greer runs it now. The jukebox plays seventies R&B, the Christmas lights and the birthday banner stay up all year, and a shot with a beer is five dollars. Thursday is snacky hour, when the wings and hot sausages are free.
