McCarren ParkThirty-five acres straddling the line between Williamsburg and Greenpoint, opened in 1906, with a running track around the playing field and a WPA-era pool at the Lorimer Street end. Sunday afternoons the soccer pitches are all in use. It is the one piece of open ground both neighborhoods share.

Kellogg's DinerA diner that has sat on the corner of Metropolitan and Union since 1928 and reopened in September 2024 under Louis Skibar with chef Jackie Carnesi. It runs around the clock, which makes it the one certainty at 3am in this part of Brooklyn. Diner standards with a Texas accent.
