The stone chess tables on the southwest side are in use most of the day. It is the closest open ground to every venue on Bleecker Street.

Mamoun's FalafelA narrow counter on MacDougal that has been selling falafel sandwiches since 1971. You order at the register, take it to one of the few stools or eat it walking. The hot sauce is the part people come back for and it is served from a squeeze bottle, not a ramekin.
