Shape The Day

Before

Prospect Park's Long Meadow, through Endale Arch

0.2 mi · 3 min walk - Prospect Heights

Come in at the Grand Army Plaza entrance and the path drops you under Endale Arch, which Olmsted and Vaux built to cut off the city before it opens onto the mile-long Long Meadow. The arch was stripped back to its original banded woodwork and sandstone in a restoration finished in 2020. Past it the meadow is flat, open and full of people lying on the grass, and it runs most of the length of the park.

After

Sound + Fury Brewery and Kitchen

short ride recommended · 7 min - Downtown Brooklyn

Six thousand square feet on Lawrence Street with the tanks visible behind the bar, a long list of its own beer and a wood oven turning out pizza. It opened as Circa Brewing in 2016 and renamed itself Sound + Fury at the end of 2023 with a reworked beer lineup, same building and same brewery. It is big enough that a group walking in after a show does not have to wait.
