Downtown Brooklyn, in Brooklyn
Brooklyn Paramount
Music Hall · 385 Flatbush Avenue Extension
Brooklyn Paramount stages modern concert tours inside a 1928 movie palace, with the old theatrical architecture still surrounding the crowd.
Rapp & Rapp designed the Downtown Brooklyn building for Paramount. It returned to concert use in 2024, bringing live music back into a structure originally made for movies and stage entertainment.
Its capacity of 2,700 is a step up from the borough's smaller clubs. Touring acts play beneath the decoration of a former cinema rather than in a plain industrial hall.
