East Williamsburg, in Brooklyn
Brooklyn Steel
Music Hall · 319 Frost Street
Brooklyn Steel makes a former steel factory work as an East Williamsburg concert hall, with a broad standing floor and a balcony above it.
The venue holds 1,800 people for standing concerts. Three bars serve the building, whose industrial appearance follows its earlier use rather than a decorative theme.
Bowery Presents books a range that includes rock, pop and electronic artists. The Frost Street address accommodates substantial touring productions while keeping the audience gathered around one stage.
