The Bushwick Starr

Off-Off-Broadway / Experimental · 419 Eldert St

Official site Directions

At the Bushwick Starr, artists develop shows on the stage where audiences will eventually see them.

The nonprofit opened in 2007 and built its program around new performance and sustained relationships with artists. It purchased a permanent home in 2021, completing the renovation in August 2024.

The Eldert Street theater also serves its neighbors through arts education. Programs reach public-school students and older adults, extending the building's use beyond ticketed productions.
