The Chain Theatre
Off-Off-Broadway / Indie · 21-28 45th Rd
Chain gives short plays a substantial place on the calendar, alongside full productions, comedy and an independent film festival.
The nonprofit supports New York artists through a playwriting lab and recurring one-act festivals. That makes the program a way to follow writers across different stages of development.
Four rehearsal studios support the work between performances. The organization also rents performance space, so visiting productions add to its own season.
