East Village, in Manhattan
Drom
Live Music Venue · 85 Avenue A
Drom brings international artists and local audiences together on Avenue A, with a program that moves readily between musical traditions.
Turkish entrepreneur Serdar Ilhan founded the East Village venue in 2007. Its name comes from a Romani word meaning journey.
Music shares the stage with dance, comedy and other performance. The booking can be a touring act or a festival showcase, so the calendar rewards looking beyond familiar names.
