Midtown West, in Manhattan
Hammerstein Ballroom
Concert Hall · 311 W 34th St
Hammerstein puts amplified concerts inside a former opera house, with balconies and a painted ceiling that keep the original ambition visible.
Oscar Hammerstein I built the Manhattan Opera House in 1906. The building later became Manhattan Center, which also contains a separate Grand Ballroom.
The Midtown West venue can accommodate different event layouts. A standing concert and a seated presentation use the same architecture in noticeably different ways.
