Le Poisson Rouge treats contemporary classical music, metal and electronic acts as plausible neighbors on one Greenwich Village calendar.
The independent venue opened in 2008. Its underground stage has hosted artists from Philip Glass and Kronos Quartet to Charli XCX and Iggy Pop.
A separate Gallery Bar adds art exhibitions, comedy and drag bingo to the address. The concert listing matters: the same building supports very different kinds of gathering.
